Survivor’s Standouts: Super Bowl Edition

superbowlHappy Super Bowl Sunday! Better known in my household as the day we order takeout and watch commercials. OK, I’m speaking for myself. Eric is a football fan, but since the Patriots aren’t in the Super Bowl this year, we I don’t really care who wins.

I know there was a lot concern about the weather since the Bowl is in NJ this year. So here’s the local weather report, brought to you by yours truly…cloudy and 43 degrees with a slight wind that’s making it feel colder than 43.

Although it’s been cool to have the Super Bowl here in the tri-state area, I have to admit I’m a little sick of hearing about it and will be happy when everyone goes home. The local news channels have talked non-stop about the Super Bowl for the last week: What’s the Super Bowl weather going to be like?, what’s going on at the Super Bowl Blvd?, what celebrities are in town for the Super Bowl? etc. etc.

So if you’re a football fan and your team is playing I wish you (and them) luck! And if you’re not, I wish us both many cute beer/puppy commercials!

I am glad that I don’t have to worry about the Super Bowl ever coming here, but I would feel the same as you. I wouldn’t want to hear about it all the time. I hope it is a good game and I am sure I will enjoy the commercials. Thanks for the shout out!

So much for the good game huh? We barely watched the last half because it was so obvious Denver had lost.

Thanks for mentioning my post! Sooooo ready for the Super Bowl to be over with….it gets us that much closer to spring! =)

Agreed, bring on the warm weather. We’re getting a snowstorm right now, so NJ/NY really lucked out (by less than 12 hours).

Vancouver, BC, Canada loves Seattle Seahawks so that’s who J and I will be cheering for! I’m also looking forward to the halftime show but i won’t get to see the famous commercials unless I you tube them later. Thanks for the link love KK!

I love Bruno, so I was very pleased with the halftime show, the rest of the game is a blur to me because I really don’t care about football. I wasn’t the impressed with the commercials this year, nothing worth watching again in my opinion, except maybe the Bud commercial with the puppy.

Wooo hoooo super bowwwlllll – I didn’t watch lol! 😉

And you missed absolutely nothing (IMHO) 😉 . The only part I liked was the halftime show.

Thanks for the mention! There were some good commercials for sure – my wife absolutely loved the puppy/horse best “Buds” commercial. Too bad the game was so lopsided, though.

The Bud commercial was my favorite. I’m such a sucker for animal commercials. I also thought the radio shack commercial was funny.

Thanks for the mention, KK! We watched the Superbowl, and it was painful. :-( Felt so bad for the Broncos, getting their tails handed to them like they did. :-( But we enjoyed the food, and the time with friends. :-)

Totally painful. I felt bad for the Broncos, would have been nice if the game was a little bit more even, but I’m happy the Seahawks got their first super bowl win.

Thanks for the shout-out, KK 😀 We watched the Super Bowl, and I was pretty happy the Seahawks won – I’m an Indy fan, so I felt bad for Peyton Manning, but I just couldn’t let myself jump on the bandwagon that has formed around Denver this season!

I wasn’t really cheering for either team, but at the beginning of the game I decided I wanted Seattle to win because they’d never won before. I guess I got my wish. Too bad Denver got their butts handed to them, didn’t make for a very exciting game.

B is a Seahawks fan so needless to say, the whole party with a bunch of Seattle fans went nuts! Maybe some day I can truly get what that feels like when the Chargers are at SB! Thanks for the mention and for keeping the weather warmer than expected. 😉
