2012 has been a really good year for us. This year I’ve accomplished several major goals, including purchasing a home, fully funding my emergency fund, and starting a blog. The boyfriend has also accomplished a major goal-paying off his student loans! There were a few down times: changes in the structure of my job and hurricane Sandy, but nothing we couldn’t make it through. Overall, I think we’ve learned and grown a lot, and I’m very thankful for that.
Here Are a Few of the Posts I’ve Enjoyed Writing This Year:
- Reasons You Didn’t Get Hired-Part I
- Student Loans Are “Good Debt”
- Your College Friends are Broke, Ignore Them
Finally, thanks so much to all of the bloggers I’ve, “met” over the past few months! It’s been such a pleasure getting to know everyone and I appreciate your support. As a new blogger, I’m learning so much so quickly and it’s all incredibly fun and exciting. I’d also like to give a shout out to my Yakezie blog team, you guys are the best!
From my family to yours, I wish you a safe, happy, healthy and financially prosperous new year! I think 2013 will be the best year yet!

Happy New Year!
Have you ever gone to Times Square for the dropping of the ball? I haven’t but, enjoy watching it on TV.

Me too! I feel like I’ve “met” so many great people through the blog.
The bf has gone to Times Square (several years ago before we were dating). Honestly, I just can’t handle that many people. Times Square is a zoo when it’s not NYE, so compound that by about 100 times the craziness. I’d like to say I’ve done it, but maybe I’m just getting too old to bother
